1:1 Teaching Assistant – Part Time (Mornings Only)
Location: BH12
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Hours: 5 mornings per week

Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children to thrive in the classroom? We are working with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in the BH12 area who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a Year 2 pupil.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child’s educational journey while being part of a friendly and nurturing school environment.

⭐ The Role

  • Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil during morning sessions

  • Helping the pupil to access learning activities and stay engaged in lessons

  • Supporting with emotional wellbeing, confidence building, and positive behaviour strategies

  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support

  • Creating a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment

✅ The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (school or similar setting)

  • Is calm, patient, and resilient, with a positive and proactive attitude

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Is reliable, committed, and passionate about supporting children’s development

  • Experience with SEN or 1:1 support would be advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
