SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We’re working with a highly respected specialist SEN school in Oldham to recruit full-time SEN Teaching Assistants for immediate starts.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting pupils with Autism, communication difficulties, and behavioural needs

Assisting with classroom tasks, learning activities, and social development
-
Helping children with emotional regulation and challenging behaviour
-
Working closely with teachers and a high staff-to-pupil support team

What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
-
Experience supporting children or young people in a UK school or care setting
-
Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Desirable:
-
Experience with complex autism and managing challenging behaviour
-
A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for SEN support
Requirements:
-
Right to work in the UK (we cannot accept overseas applicants)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
-
Up-to-date safeguarding training and references from the last 2 years
This is a full-time, term-time only role. Part-time positions are not available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
