SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - Mitcham
Role: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Start date: ASAP
Especially with the current climate of the outbreak of schooling needs, Teaching Personnel are working with primary schools that are open to key workers and require support for SEN children.
Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School based in Mitcham CR4 who are seeking an SEN TA to join their team as soon as possible. The successful SEN TA will be working one-to-one with a Year 1 child who has Autism and challenging behaviour.
About the role
• You will be working with a Year 1 child who has special educational needs and has an Educational Healthcare plan.
• This student is very bright and independent and requires little academic support, but rather just needs some additional support getting around school and the grounds.
• The child has Autism and can display challenging behaviour at times.
About the candidate:
• The successful candidate will be energetic, charismatic and be able to build a good rapport with this student and make him feel valued and uphold his dignity at all times.
• Prior experience working with a wheelchair bound person would be advantageous, but not necessary as all training will be provided.
• The successful SEN TA will have prior experience working with Special Educational Needs.
• This position is opened to highly experienced candidates as well as graduates seeking to continue their career.
• This position would also suit care or youth workers wanting to transition into education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
