Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 year, with the potential to become permanent following budget review)
Day Rate: £12 - £13 an hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A well-regarded primary school within easy reach of Milton Keynes is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team from September 2025.
From playing board games to leading science experiments, from supporting learning to celebrating success – our Teaching Assistants are at the heart of our school community. You’ll be supporting children with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them engage with learning and build confidence day by day.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development both in and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective provision.
- Assist in implementing EHCP strategies and individual support programmes.
- Help manage classroom routines, resources, and displays to enhance the learning environment.
- Take part in trips, lunchtime support, and wider school activities as part of your role.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children with additional needs in a primary setting.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Calm, patient and adaptable with a nurturing, positive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
- Genuine passion for supporting children to thrive and succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
