SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – North Manchester
Full-Time | September Start | 8:30am – 3:30pm
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of primary schools across North Manchester who are looking to appoint dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants from September. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 3:30pm, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with an individual pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored academic, social and emotional support throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include adapting learning activities, promoting positive behaviour strategies, supporting communication and interaction skills, assisting with personal development targets, and working alongside teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to ensure the pupil receives the highest level of support. Experience supporting children with special educational needs such as Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs would be advantageous.
Applicants must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and demonstrate a patient, nurturing and proactive approach to supporting children. The ability to build positive relationships and create a safe, encouraging learning environment is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
