SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable client secondary school located in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The role starts from Monday 3rd November, and will run full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2026).
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN on a one-to-one basis.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Support students in developing social skills, independence, and confidence.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
