Pay: £13.75 per hour

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer opportunities to work in specialist schools in the Havant area, supporting children with complex needs across both primary and secondary age groups.

About the Role:
You will play a vital role in assisting teachers to deliver personalised learning support to children with a range of complex needs, including communication difficulties, learning disabilities, and social or behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding position where your contribution will help foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups in the classroom to help them engage with learning activities

  • Assisting with the implementation of personalised education and behaviour plans

  • Encouraging social interaction and development of communication skills

  • Providing emotional and physical support to pupils as needed

  • Collaborating with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure consistency and progress in learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children who have complex needs is preferred but not essential - full training can be provided

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varied needs of pupils

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
