One of our partner SEN schools are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant. The
school support young people aged 2 – 19 with complex needs and who have an
Education, Health and Care Plan in place.
About the role:
- Sociable hours, NO WEEKENDS – 8.30am-3.30pm (these hours may vary by 45 minutes)
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with classroom activities and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
- Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students.
- Full time option – temp to perm style!
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with SEN children (not essential)
- Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
- Have the passion and drive to work with SEN children - MUST
- Able to use own initiative to get involved – MUST
- Strong communication skills and team work skills – MUST
