Individual Needs Assistant – Support & Inspire One Incredible Child
Location: East Grinstead (Beautiful One-Form Entry Primary School)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 22/07/2026
Hours: 29.17 hours/week (Term Time Only)
The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a bright, high-level autistic child in Key Stage 1 who experiences behavioural challenges.
This is a unique opportunity to help one child thrive—by providing the structure, trust, and stability they need to succeed in school.
About the Role

Work one-to-one with a pupil with autism and behavioural needs

Support both academic progress and emotional well-being
-
Provide a consistent, predictable presence that builds trust and reduces anxiety
-
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised strategies

Use proactive, positive behaviour management approaches

You will be:

Experienced (or confident) in supporting autistic children and/or those with behavioural needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
