The Role

As an Individual Needs Assistant, you’ll provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN). Working closely with class teachers and other staff, you’ll help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with learning, behavioural, and emotional needs

  • Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour strategies

  • Assisting with emotional regulation and confidence building

  • Helping implement personalised learning plans

  • Encouraging engagement during lessons and playtimes

  • Monitoring progress and communicating with staff and families

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (or relevant qualifications – desirable)

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Commitment to inclusive, child-centred education

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
