Graduate Teaching Assistant - Harrow
Location: Harrow
Role: Graduate TA - Primary
Pay: £77 - 95 per day (paid on a weekly basis)
Working as a graduate teaching assistant in a primary school is a great way to gain paid school experience. In addition to this, it is an excellent opportunity for graduates to prepare for their future teacher training ahead of time, especially if they are aiming to do a PGCE in teaching. As a primary school graduate TA, you will gain a variety of experience working with students of mixed abilities and possibly those with SEN. As well as this, you will gain an understanding of the curriculum taught in the school as you will be exposed to a range of subject areas and could lead small group or 1:1 intervention session in those subject areas.
What would the job role involve?
- Working one to one with children who need extra support – possibly a child with SEN
- Supporting the class teacher with lessons
- Communicating with higher members of staff and parents/carers about children’s progress
- Ensuring safety of each child is followed
- Ensure children’s mental, physical and psychological wellbeing is looked after

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
