We are a welcoming and inclusive Good-rated Ofsted school in Crawley, seeking a dedicated Behaviour/SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and values a therapeutic, child-centred approach.

About the Pupils

The pupils are engaging, fun, and a pleasure to work with. They thrive with a therapeutically informed approach and benefit from strong, consistent relationships with adults.

While they may occasionally present challenges, dysregulation is rare. They feel safe, happy, and settled in school, and enjoy positive, trusting relationships with staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience supporting children with EHCPs or additional needs (desirable)

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required)

• Be calm, nurturing, and reflective in their practice

• Understand—or be willing to learn—therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative team

• Be committed to promoting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
