We are working in partnership with specialist SEN schools to recruit motivated and compassionate individuals to work as Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for those looking to transition into education and gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to help students engage with learning, regulate emotions, and develop socially and academically.
This role would suit you if you have experience in:

Support work (adult or children’s services)

Psychology, criminology, or related degrees

Youth work, mentoring, or care settings
-
Mental health or behavioural support roles
Key Responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 or small-group support in the classroom

Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour
-
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils

Assisting with learning activities and personal development
-
Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
