Location: Gloucester (Based near Chipping Campden)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Term Time Only

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students with a range of additional needs — including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH) — to thrive in their learning.
You’ll work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to deliver personalised support both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one sessions. Every day will be different, but every day you’ll make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to students with SEN to ensure they can access and enjoy the curriculum

Assist in the delivery and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

Adapt materials and learning resources to meet individual needs

Encourage independence, self-confidence, and inclusion across all aspects of school life

Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and share insights with the SENCO and wider team

Support with personal care if required
About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and has a passion for helping every learner succeed.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in a school or other setting)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
-
Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
-
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed

A flexible, positive attitude and a good sense of humour
-
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
