SEN Teaching assistant

Location: Cardiff
Contract: Full-time / Part-time available
Salary: £89-110 depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP

About the School

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working alongside a dedicated special school serving the Cardiff community. The provision itself is committed to improving the education and quality of life of pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of learning difficulties.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team. No school experience is needed — just empathy, patience and a positive, proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to pupils aged 3–19 with a diverse range of learning difficulties
  • Work under the guidance of class teachers to deliver tailored learning activities
  • Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development
  • Assist with sensory, behavioural or communication needs
  • Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (We can help you apply for this!)

  • 2 referee’s which are able to provide references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
