Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time available
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
Salary: From £89.38 per day
Location: Cardiff
Teaching Personnel are proud to be working alongside a welcoming, inclusive, and dynamic special education provision supporting children aged 3–19 with a diverse range of additional needs—autism, profound & multiple learning needs (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), speech, communication, physical, and medical needs within a nurturing community ethos.
We are looking for strong teaching assistants to join our team to start as soon as possible. The provision is based in Cardiff and is a happiness-driven environment, recognised by Estyn for safety, care, and well-being.
What You'll Do
- Support class teachers in planning and delivering targeted lessons.
- Work one-to-one/in small groups.
- Encourage independence.
- Implement behaviour strategies
- Assist with transitions and positive reinforcement.
- Adapt materials and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
- Assist with classroom setup, supervision at break-times, and trips where applicable.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience or passion for working with children with additional learning needs (autism, SLD, PMLD, speech & language).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to engage in hands-on support activities
What you will need
- Enhanced DBS on the update Service (We can help you apply!)
- Education Workforce Council application (We can help you apply!)
- 2 referee’s which are able to provide references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
