At Teaching Personnel, we’re proud to support a specialist provision in Cardiff that is looking for SEN teaching assistants to join their team. The provision has approximately 50 incredible pupils with a broad spectrum of needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyspraxia, and other additional learning needs. We’re now looking for dedicated, skilled, and compassionate teaching assistants to join our team and help continue to provide outstanding care and education.

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome applicants who bring warmth, resilience, and creativity to their work. Ideal candidates will have:

  • ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) qualification – to support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and resilience
  • Manual Handling training
  • Team Teach certification
  • Experience or interest in niche areas such as sensory integration, speech and language support, or assistive technology
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
