We are actively seeking a Learning Support Assistant, for one of our SEN schools based in East Cambridgeshire.

This education setting is a school for children and young people who have a range of complex needs, such as SEMH difficulties, Autism, PTSD, and attachment disorder, between the ages of 8 – 18 years old.

This role would be Monday – Friday, and would start off temporary with the opportunity to become permanent.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children and young adults that are on the Autism Spectrum, a range of SEMH needs, PTSD or attachment disorder. Alternatively, we welcome applicants that have personal experiences with supporting SEN individuals.

About the role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within a primary or secondary classroom.
  • Providing support to students that have different needs and requirements.
  • Inspire and motivate students to excel within their education creatively, in a wide range of subjects.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns and effectively communicating with other members of staff to work collaboratively as a team.
  • Attend any training sessions to ensure the needs of students are met to a high standard.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and staff to ensure the smooth running of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
