  • Rate: GBP70 - GBP90 per day.

SEN Teaching Assistant role - Secondary School - Brixton – Easter 2021 start

  • Are you a experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new opportunity for Easter 2021?
  • Are you a graduate in search of a local teaching assistant position to start Easter 2021, which will provide valuable experience ahead of a PGCE application this September or next?
  • Do you wish to gain experience in a Secondary school before making any big commitments, especially if you’re just out of university?
  • Or perhaps you’ve graduated in the last 0-3 years and now want to become a teacher?

Teaching Personnel are the UK’s largest education recruitment company, and we are working closely with a large Secondary School based in the Brixton area rated Ofsted ‘Good’, who are right seeking a Teaching Assistant to support KS3/KS4 children. Preferably this Teaching Assistant will have experience or knowledge of Autism, however this is not essential.

This popular and vibrant Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Secondary school is located in the heart of the South London, and has good bus links as well as being a short walk from the Victoria line. The school has over 1000 pupils on roll from a variety of cultures and backgrounds across the key stages. The building benefits from a wide range of state of the art facilities across the site including a large SEN and ASD provision for students with additional needs.

Requirements:

  • The drive and stamina to exceed school expectations and targets.
  • Strong subject knowledge and strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Must be able to obtain a DBS check.
  • Proof of career history from the last 6 years.
  • Able to provide 3 career related references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
