Job description

 

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive KS2 team from September 2025.

About the Role:

As an SEN TA, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. Your role will involve helping children access the curriculum, supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing, and encouraging independence in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN in Key Stage 2

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience working with children with SEN within education or the care industry

  • Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable

  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills

  • Can work effectively as part of a team

  • Is committed to the wellbeing and development of every child

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
