Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Brierfield
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Brierfield, Lancashire
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a vibrant Secondary School in Brierfield from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in students’ education and well-being.

About the Role:

  • Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with additional needs

  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences

  • Provide targeted intervention and classroom support

  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to support student progress

About You:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-age students is desirable

  • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to supporting all learners, including those with SEND or learning difficulties

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
