Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistants
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you dedicated to providing tailored support and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed? We have an excellent opportunity for compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join an Ofsted good secondary school in Bramhall on a full-time basis. This role is available to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of SEN requirements, ensuring they receive the additional help and guidance they need to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Your main responsibilities will include:

Individualised Support: Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, assisting them with their learning, helping to reinforce concepts, and implementing personalised strategies to address specific needs and challenges.

Collaborative Planning: Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement tailored learning plans and interventions for students with SEN, ensuring their needs are identified, addressed, and regularly reviewed to promote progress and achievement.

Resource Adaptation: Modifying and adapting learning materials and resources to meet the individual needs and abilities of students with SEN, ensuring they are accessible, engaging, and supportive of their learning journey.

Behavioural and Emotional Support: Implementing positive behaviour management strategies, promoting emotional well-being, and providing pastoral care and guidance to students with SEN, helping them to develop social skills, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Communication and Collaboration: Building strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and professionals, maintaining open and regular communication to share updates on progress, discuss concerns, and work collaboratively to support the holistic development of students with SEN.

Assessment and Feedback: Supporting the assessment of student progress, monitoring achievements, and providing constructive feedback to inform teaching practice and identify areas for further support and development.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and a commitment to promoting inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience, with the ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students with SEN, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage resources, maintain records, and assist with administrative tasks as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
