This is an opportunity based in the Bradford area at a mainstream primary school we are currently working with who are urgently seeking an SEN teaching assistant.  This role will be starting immediately working on a 1-2-1 basis with students with complex needs who may exhibit challenging behaviour.

About the role:
The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:

• Autism

• Behavioural Difficulties

• Non-verbal

The role will be perfect for someone who will be patient, understanding and empathetic to the pupil and their needs. The role will be extremely rewarding and provide strong job satisfaction.

The successful candidate will:

• have some knowledge and experience on how to support a pupil with autism
• establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupil
• promote the pupils cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being
• liaise with other staff to ensure the pupil can access the learning and stay happy in school
• be able to communicate effectively with the pupil they are providing support to

This is a full-time, long-term position until July 2022 on a long-term contract and there could be an option of a permanent offer.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
