Position: Inclusion Teaching Assistant

Sector: Mainstream Primary Education

Key Experience: Supporting Children with Autism for 1+ year minimum

Salary: £89.35 - £110 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)

Job Description: Teaching Personnel is currently partnering with a cluster of mainstream primary schools to provide SEN and inclusion teaching assistants. We are searching for experienced Teaching Assistants who have a strong background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This role will involve working closely, usually on a one-to-one basis, to support students with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs. While these schools are mainstream, the students you will be working with have complex needs, and some may be non-verbal.

The Ideal Candidate:

-Works effectively as part of a classroom team, ensuring the students are cared for and engaged in their learning.

-Demonstrates experience in supporting children with autism and/or associated learning difficulties.

-Understands the needs of those with ASD and is able to adapt support strategies accordingly.

-Is committed to building and maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

-Approaches the classroom with a friendly, positive attitude.

-Is caring, patient, and understanding, while also being proactive and inspiring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
