We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving SEN schools in Birmingham

Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.
- Assisting the class teacher in creating and implementing tailored learning plans.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting students with their personal care needs if required.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and contributing to progress reviews.
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
