Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a supportive educational setting as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with students requiring additional support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored, one-to-one support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a classroom environment

  • Assist in the implementation of individual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Support teaching staff in delivering personalised learning activities and targeted interventions

  • Promote the development of academic abilities and social skills among pupils with SEN

  • Track and report on student progress in collaboration with teaching staff

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and effective support techniques

Education:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/5 (C) or above

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Well-organised with attention to detail

  • Prior experience supporting students with additional needs

Desirable:

  • Further training in specific areas such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD

Working Environment:

  • Based primarily in a classroom setting

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

  • Access to continued professional development and training opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
