SEN & Nurture Support Role
Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Pay: Up to £100 per day
Start Date: September 2025 | Full Academic Year
Age Group: 11–16 Years
Are you a caring and calm individual passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN base from September, working for the full academic year.
About the Role:
This role combines SEN support with nurture-based work to help pupils build confidence, manage emotions, and stay engaged in learning. You will:
- Provide 1:1 support to learners with Autism (ASC)
- Support pupils in mainstream lessons to stay focused and regulated
- Offer downtime and sensory breaks when needed
- Work within a small, nurturing team to meet each student’s emotional and educational needs
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Ideally some experience working with children with SEN or ALN (not essential – the right attitude matters most!)
- A calm, compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Minimum of a Grade C in GCSE English & Maths
- Commitment to supporting students for the full academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
