- Start ASAP
- £20,000 – £27,000 (£90 - £105per day)
- Monday – Friday (8:30am -3:30pm)
- Full time role
Teaching personnel are looking for a SEN Teaching assistant to help support the teaching staff to develop and provide quality learning for pupils with special education needs. This will range from a wide variety of physical, emotional and behavioural needs, as well as SEMH and SPLD that may include high levels of ASD, ADHD and Behavioural issues. You will help to encourage pupils to be engaged and interested to make them feel safe and happy in a learning environment.
The school in Hillingdon is a lovely new modern 2 form entry primary school with lovely and welcoming staff and team. The schools has a lot of requirements for SEN support, LSA supporting.

Main roles and responsibilities -
- Help assist the lead teacher enable each pupil to access their curriculum.
- Engage with playground activities.
- Support and encourage the development of pupil’s education.
- Look after pupils physical, emotional and social welfare.
- Operate in a calm and assertive manor during SEN specific situations.
- Be aware of SEN in schools and how ECHP plans work.
- Keep records and attend review meetings.
- Communicate with parents and guardians.
- 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 support.
- Ensure children’s safety at all times.
Key skills and requirements -
- Have experience working with SEN pupils.
- Friendly and compassionate.
- Patient.
- Resilient.
- Sensitivity and understanding.
- Understanding SEN needs.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Confident working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
