SEN teaching assistant - Bury

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a primary school in the Radcliffe, Bury (M26) area, looking for a teaching assistant to support a pupil with Autism and speech and language communication needs in the Year 5 class. The pupil performs well academically but needs emotional support in the class room and phonics interventions to support and improve the child's speech and language needs.

The school has a large percentage of children on the SEN register and the children start school below the national average in terms of their learning development. The ideal candidate will liaise with the class teacher and SENCO's to implement learning strategies' and evaluate the pupil's progress.

The school is graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted and prides itself on the fantastic reputation it has built for the work it does with the community and the end of KS1 and 2 results. To apply for this role you must have experience working with children with specific language needs and have relevant qualifications for teaching and supporting children. To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
