SEN Teaching Assistant Aintree

Here at Teaching Personnel we have had a request for a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Year 3. The child has behavioural issues and needs some extra one to one support to ensure he makes the correct progress through school.

The School is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, where the new senior leadership team is highly ambitious and demonstrates a good capacity for further improvements. The quality of teaching and outcomes for pupils in early years and at Key Stage 1 has improved and are now consistently good, children are now making better progress throughout Key Stage 2.

The role will initially be until Easter, however the Headteacher feels that the child needs some stability within school and the role would be likely to become a permanent position if the placement goes well. The child is bright as has the ability to progress through school however with a disruptive home life and lack of support, he is a little bit behind the Year 3 cohort.

The school is based in Sefton with excellent transport links around the city including a nearby train station. The school is located near junction 6 of the M57 and is very accessible off the East Lancs for those who like to avoid motorways. The school has secure gated parking on site for all staff.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
