Permanent position is possible for the right candidate
We are looking for a SEN Teacher for students with ASC, EHCP's and very challenging behavior. The school are looking for a Primary Teacher and a Secondary Teacher. Having experience teaching IT would be highly benificial but not essential. Core suject cirriculum knowledge is a must. NQTs are welcome to apply.
You will be responsible for a small group of pupils, no more than 8 per calls and will always have an experienced SEN TA on hand.
This specialist school provides education and support for students aged 5-11 years with Autism and ADHD. You will have the assistance of specialist support staff during classes, who are all experienced and trained in managing the behavior of students.
- Planning and Teaching tailored lessons to primary aged students with a range of additional needs
- Maintaining awareness of curriculum developments
- The school offers ongoing internal training
- Uphold all safeguarding procedures and behaviour policies
Key Skills
- QTS or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of the national primary curriculum
- Knowledge and experience of teaching vocational subjects would be advantageous
- Have previous experience working within a SEN environment or are passionate to do so
