Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a teacher for a full time role in the Bristol area. This is an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and reliable individual.

Within this role you will be working with students aged 5 to 19; working with the curriculum and also on a students own bespoke education plan. This school caters to students with severe and complex speech, language and communication difficulties as well as working with students who are on the autistic spectrum with physical and sensory needs.

The school has been recently renovated and is a large building with an excellent range of facilities, overlooking the grounds which include a sensory garden, horticultural garden and therapeutic leisure equipment. The school places a large focus on empowering young people to develop and grow in a way that embraces their own uniqueness.

Main responsibilities:

  • Monitor the students welfare and take responsibility for safeguarding
  • To adhere to the professional standards of a teacher and work with the curriculum
  • To plan and deliver enthusiastic and engaging lessons and take responsibility for the day to day running of the classroom

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have QTS
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of working with pupils who have PMLS/SLA, SEN and ASD
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection, placing the students health and well-being and personal care at the forefront of their education

Salary: £85-110 per day
