SEN Teacher Required in Derby – Part Time ASAP Start

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a tutor in the DE2 area to teach a KS1 student with ASC and ADHD. Due to their SEN, the student is unable to attend school, and therefore the 1:1 tuition will occur in the home. The student is working at a pre-KS level and requires additional social skills support.

About the Role:

  • 1:1 Tuition for a Year 2 LAC student with Autism and ADHD
  • 15 hours a week
  • In person, in the student’s care home
  • Working materials and resources will need to be provided by the tutor
  • Focus on cross-curricular academic work, and providing additional social skills support

Who we are looking for:

  • People who are comfortable lone working and communicating with local authorities and care home staff
  • Previous experience working with LAC students and students with ASC and ADHD
  • Tutors who can plan, produce, and teach cross-curricular lessons at KS1 level, as well as provide additional social skills support

Requirements:

  • Teacher with QTS
  • Previous experience teaching EYFS or KS1
  • Experience of teaching and working with children with SEN
  • Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
