SEN Teacher

We are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to teach in Primary school for those with SEN. The school caters to pupils all with an EHCP Plan, and have varying SEN needs such as ASC, MLD and PMLD. The schools age range varies from 2-11.

 The school has been graded as Outstanding by OFSTED and is based in the Atherton area of Wigan, so is easily accessible by all means of transportation. The school was noted in its most recent OFSTED that its teachers have a love of learning and aim to support the young people in any way they can.

The successful teacher will join the outstanding team to make a difference every day in the lives of the young people. As a teacher you will support the pupils as they access a wide and diverse curriculum.

The curriculum features:

• Development of Communication Skills

• Development of Social and Life skills

• Learning in the Community

• Learning through Play both in and outside the classroom.

• Outdoor and Environmental Learning

• Literacy, Numeracy, PSHE and all subjects of the National Curriculum

This also includes the holistic therapies such as swimming, massage therapy, yoga and creative endeavours such as horse riding and orienteering.

To be considered for this role should have:

• QTS

• Experience teaching those with SEN

• A drive and passion for supporting vulnerable young people

• A current DBS on the Update Service

• The ability to supply two recent references
