 SEN Teacher – Primary School | S36 Sheffield | Full-Time | Immediate or September 2025 Start

A welcoming primary school in the S36 area of Sheffield is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting difference supporting pupils with special educational needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.


Location: S36, Sheffield

Role: SEN Class Teacher – Primary

Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

⏰ Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Potential for permanent


What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, SEMH, MLD, complex needs)
  • Differentiate learning and provide interventions to help pupils progress
  • Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, external agencies, and families
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching children with SEN in a primary setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, interventions, and inclusive practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
