Secondary SEN Teacher
Location: Clapham, Greater London, England
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £150 - £210 per day
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Secondary SEN Teacher to join our team in Clapham, Greater London. As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to secondary students with Special Educational Needs. You will also assess and monitor student progress, collaborate with colleagues and parents, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for secondary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support as needed
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of SEN students
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to address student needs and progress
- Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities as required
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with secondary students with SEN
- Up-to-date knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and best practises
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
- Effective classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
- Experience working in a multicultural school environment
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, permanent position in a secondary school setting in Clapham, Greater London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our students and will be supported by a dedicated team of colleagues and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
