We are currently recruiting for SEN Teachers for a Trust of schools we work with. The Trust caters for pupils aged 5-19 with additional special needs and communication difficulties including autism. The Trust prides itself on its ability to track and improve the progress of its pupils with the help of excellent teachers and teaching assistants. With support of committed and educated staff, the school’s aims are to support individual pupils maximize their communication skills, improve their ability to access the national curriculum and to get the most from the general educational, social and spiritual life of the school.
Your role would be to create lessons to meet the learners needs. This would include a curriculum based around academic and social progression. You would create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school.
The ideal candidate would be a Teacher who has:
- QTS
- Experience of working with SEN such as Autism or SEMH
- A passion and dedication for working with children
- A strong and warm personality
The Trust of schools are located in and around Oldham and Tameside and has excellent travel links by bus, tram and train. In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.
