SEN Teacher Opportunities – Newcastle (NE5) – September Start

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teachers to join a supportive and welcoming school in the NE5 area of Newcastle for the new academic year starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Daily Rate: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEN requirements. You will work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to provide a structured, positive, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and caring approach to teaching

Desirable

  • Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science
