Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE1). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs, including ADHD and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition).

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, adaptable lessons across a range of subjects, tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of our students. The role requires creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across multiple subjects
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD and ASC
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies where needed
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly ADHD and ASC
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and student development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and creativity in delivering a broad curriculum
  • An enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
