SEN Teacher – Newcastle (NE4)
Start Date: June 2026
Salary: £140 – £190 per day

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school based in NE4, Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC/Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Promote student progress, wellbeing, and independence

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with a variety of additional needs including ASC, Autism, ADHD, and related SEND needs
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach

Safeguarding Requirements

Candidates must hold:

  • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service

OR be willing to obtain one prior to employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
