Job description

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teachers to join a supportive and inclusive school located in the NE4 area of Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated educators who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Information:

  • Location: NE4, Newcastle
  • Daily Rate: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Flexible working opportunities available

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons designed to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to provide a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

The role will start on Monday 8th June til the rest of the academic year with the goal of continuing into the next.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working within SEN settings is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching

Desirable Skills:

  • Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science would be advantageous, but is not essential
