SEN Teacher – ALN Base (Primary) | CF11
Part-Time | 1–5 Days per Week (Flexible) | Start ASAP
Are you a calm, nurturing and adaptable teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?
A fantastic primary school in CF11 is seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join their team, working within one of their two newly opened ALN base classrooms.
Each base supports up to 10 children with a range of additional learning needs (ALN). The school is truly brilliant – welcoming, inclusive, and deeply committed to meeting the needs of every pupil. You’ll be joining a team of experienced Teaching Assistants who already have strong relationships with the children and will provide consistent classroom support.
The Role:

Teaching in a small, specialist class setting (maximum 10 pupils)

Working closely with TAs to deliver personalised and engaging learning

Supporting children with a variety of needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory needs

Contributing to the development of EHCP targets and differentiated planning
-
Promoting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and independence
-
Supporting with personal care where needed

Liaising with SENCO, parents/carers and external professionals as appropriate
✅ What We’re Looking For:

A qualified primary teacher (ECTs welcome)

ALN/SEN experience is desirable, but not essential
-
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
-
Someone flexible, committed and confident working as part of a team

Willingness to work flexibly from 1 to 5 days per week, depending on school needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
