SEN Teacher – ALN Base (Primary) | CF11

Are you a calm, nurturing and adaptable teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment?
A fantastic primary school in CF11 is seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join their team, working within one of their two newly opened ALN base classrooms.

Each base supports up to 10 children with a range of additional learning needs (ALN). The school is truly brilliant – welcoming, inclusive, and deeply committed to meeting the needs of every pupil. You’ll be joining a team of experienced Teaching Assistants who already have strong relationships with the children and will provide consistent classroom support.

The Role:

• Teaching in a small, specialist class setting (maximum 10 pupils)

• Working closely with TAs to deliver personalised and engaging learning

• Supporting children with a variety of needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory needs

• Contributing to the development of EHCP targets and differentiated planning

• Promoting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and independence

• Supporting with personal care where needed

• Liaising with SENCO, parents/carers and external professionals as appropriate

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified primary teacher (ECTs welcome)

• ALN/SEN experience is desirable, but not essential

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Someone flexible, committed and confident working as part of a team

• Willingness to work flexibly from 1 to 5 days per week, depending on school needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
