SEN Primary Teacher 
Location: Nelson & Colne
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Tuesdays until 4:25pm for staff meeting)
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

Are you a passionate, committed and creative SEN Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic practitioner to join a warm and supportive specialist setting in the Nelson and Colne area.

In this role, you will work with pupils who have a diverse range of needs, including PMLD, MLD, speech, language and communication needs, Autism and a variety of medical needs. You will deliver engaging, sensory-based and highly practical learning sessions that support each child’s individual development. A deep understanding of personalised learning, multi-sensory teaching and a supportive, nurturing approach is essential.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets

  • Create a calm, inclusive and child-centred classroom environment

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff and external agencies

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

  • Contribute to wider school life, including attending weekly staff meetings (Tuesdays until 4:25pm)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
