Redhill, Chaldon & Horley Area
Secondary SEN School
Monday to Friday | 8:15am – 4:45pm

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced secondary SEN school in the Redhill, Chaldon and Horley area. The school is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team as soon as possible.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you will help create positive learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for students with special educational needs

  • Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning support where required

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

  • Supporting students with emotional, behavioural and communication needs

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals

  • Helping to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs

  • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed

  • A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
