SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Start Date: ASAP or September 2026
Full-Time | Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive schools in the Redhill area. These full-time opportunities are available for an immediate start or from September and offer the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, or individuals looking to build a career within special educational needs and education.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.

  • Assist with the delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.

  • Support students with communication, emotional wellbeing, and social development.

  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and specialist professionals.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable.

  • Experience within schools, care settings, youth work, or support roles would be advantageous.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
