SEN TA needed ASAP

A primary school in the Mitcham are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term position.

The school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistants/LSAs who is passionate about the provision of teaching for children with Special Educational Needs to:

* help with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher

* prepare learning materials

* help pupils to develop their self-confidence, independence and abilities

* support children during social activities and outings

* help children during therapy sessions

* looking after children's physical needs

* giving information and help to teachers

* keeping records

Desired skills and qualities are:

* have knowledge/interest and experience working with Special Needs

* excellent behaviour management skills

* proven track record of excellent teaching

* excellent interpersonal skills

* excellent communication skills

* literacy and numeracy skills

* tact and sensitivity

* the ability to deal with challenging behaviour
