Job Title: Highly Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children reach their full potential? We are seeking a highly experienced SEN TA to join a supportive school in Maidenhead, where every child’s needs and achievements are valued.
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language challenges.

Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
-
Adapt activities and learning resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
-
Support positive behaviour management and emotional regulation in the classroom.

Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils with additional needs.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
-
Brings proven experience as a SEN TA, ideally across both mainstream and specialist settings.

Has a strong understanding of effective SEN strategies and behaviour management approaches.

Communicates clearly and empathetically with pupils, staff, and parents.

Is patient, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful impact.

Holds relevant qualifications (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) – desirable, but extensive experience will be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
