SEN Support Workers - needed for Bolton - Sept. '19

At Teaching Personnel, we have an opportunity to place a teaching assistant in an OFSTED 'Good' rated school for pupils aged 11-19 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present. The school is situated in a new build completed in 2012. The new building not only provides a much greater range of specialist facilities and rooms, but also provides excellent inclusion through it's attachment to a mainstream school. The school works closely with professionals from other services including Speech and Language Therapy, School Nursing Team, Social Care, Educational Psychology Service and Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy which provides a range of expertise to support the pupils in becoming independent individuals with a high level of personal confidence. The ideal candidate for this role would have:

• Experience of SEN/ or willingness to train
• A calm and patient manner to support pupils through difficult times.
• A dedicated and committed work ethic
