SEN Support Specialist required near Colchester

Secondary schools in the Colchester area are looking for SEN Support Assistants to work within their schools. This role would suit a individual who has previous experience (in a voluntary capacity or otherwise) working with students, perhaps in a secondary school, primary school or youth work setting that have challenging behaviour or SEN. The successful applicant will be motivated and able to converse, liaise and engage with people of all ages including pupils aged 11 - 16 and fellow colleagues and teachers.

Highlights of the SEN support assistant role:

  • An extremely rewarding position
  • Pay range between £55 - £70 (depending on previous experience)
  • Gain valuable experience working in a secondary school setting

The role of a SEN Support Assistant is to help 1:1 or small groups of students with different educational and emotional needs. The role requires someone who is patient, able to identify different needs and can adapt their approach depending on the pupil/pupils. You may be at various schools throughout the Colchester area but the networking opportunities are not only endless but the additional experience you will gain is invaluable.
