The School are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their enthusiastic and dynamic team. You must have a good standard of English and Mathematics and be able to communicate effectively with both adults and children. We expect that you will use your initiative and embrace new challenges to work with groups and with individuals. You will be willing to work closely with teachers and other support staff to plan for the individual needs of our SEN pupils.

It is essential the candidate has the following attributes:

  • The ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience of working with children in KS1 and KS2.
  • Experience of working with children with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC/ASD).
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour management.
  • Knowledge of how to support teaching and learning effectively and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of ways to adapt and personalize learning to cater for the needs of individual children, particularly those with additional needs.
  • A range of behaviour management strategies, underpinned by a calm and caring approach.
  • A professional manner with excellent communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
