SEN support
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
A secondary school in Weston-Super-Mare is looking for a support assistant to work with pupils with a range of SEN (Special Education Needs).
The school runs two provisions: one is to help students who are struggling in class to step away and get extra support. These pupils have learning difficulties and autism so SEN experience is beneficial but not essential. The other provision is working with pupils who have been excluded from class. This means it is essential to have the confidence to manage behaviour.
This is a full-time role to start ASAP. You will be supported fully by an outstanding SENCO. This is the perfect opportunity to get more experience in schools and to develop your education career.
If you are interested please call immediately so we can talk further or book you in for an interview.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
